Yeah, except that Order of the Phoenix is the only Harry Potter movie where the script wasn’t written by Steve Kloves, it was written by Michael Goldenberg. So calling Steve Kloves a douchebag over this line being in OotP doesn’t make any fucking sense.
Just wait another thirty years and Hollywood will decide it wants to remake the movies.

I learned a long time ago to separate the film versions or whatever over the source material, hence why I don’t get so nitpicky over what gets left out or what gets changed and whatnot. You know why? Because it’s not always the writers or the directors who make every choice relating to what gets put into a movie and what doesn’t. There are test screenings that are shown before random people, often who have no idea that this movie was based off a book, comic book, TV show or whatever, and go from their input. There’s also the studios, who have all the money and all the control over what the product will finally become in the end.
People are still nitpicky about details like this when in reality, Rowling had an astounding amount of control over what...
